Office Personnel & Duties

Dr. Ravsten, Kebai Bills, PA, Karl Letko, PA and Stephanie Clark, NP perform psychiatric assessments and provide medication management services. Dr. Ater, Kristy Christensen, Angela Kelly and Dr. Ravsten provide psychotherapy and counseling services.

 

Administrative Staff

Our current admininstrative staff include Allie, Sophie, Florecita and Kimberly who all help to oversee the administrative and non-clinical services provided by the office.  Allie is able to assist with your questions about insurance coverage, initial scheduling and other aspects of the  preparation for your initial evaluation.  All of our support staff serve as care coordinators to assist you with anything that can be done to improve your clinical care in our office.

As care coordinators they will assist with specific tasks related to scheduling follow up appointments, appointment check-in and check-out, refills, processing of prior authorizations, sending and receiving records from other providers and conveying messages to your office providers between visits and more!  Together, all of our care coordinators are eager to take your call and to help as a go-between you and your provider(s) during the workday when our providers are busy seeing other patients.  You can submit questions to the administrative support staff through the secure email address:

Staff & Services

Deric Ravsten, DO, FAPA

Dr. Ravsten is a native of Southeast Idaho, received his undergraduate degree from Idaho State University, then attended medical school at Des Moines University (formerly UOMHS) in Iowa before completing his internship and Psychiatry Residency at the University of Utah. He is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with a broad range of practice experience including work in outpatient and inpatient clinical settings, working with children, adults and the elderly.  His professional passion is tied his commitment to helping each patient feel better, do more and to experience the richness and fulfillment of a fully realized life.

Special interests include: mindfulness skills training, telepsychiatry, geropsychiatry, ADHD, Schizophrenia and mental health disorders complicated by co-occuring substance use or personality disorders, and psychotherapy for mood and anxiety disorders.

 

 

 

 

Steve Ater, PsyD

Dr. Ater is a clinical psychologist who was previously practicing at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.  He has completed specialty training in clinical neuropsychology and is excited to be able to provide help for those who have suffered Traumatic Brain Injury or other neurological illnesses.  He received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Illinois and did his undergraduate training at the Ohio State University in Columbus.  He also completed specialty training in Child and Family Psychology and is well-versed in general psychological interventions including mood disorders such as depression, anxiety and Bipolar Disorder, as well as with other issues such as marital and relationship difficulties, work or school problems and parenting.  

In addition, Dr. Ater is also actively developing innovative approaches to performance coaching and organizational development.   His goal is to help leaders and organizations function at the highest level possible.

 

 

Kebai Bills, PA-C

Board Certified Physician Assistant, Kebai Bills, has joined Life Change Associates, PLLC with the goal of serving the psychiatric field by following her profession passion: to erase the stigma associated with mental illness and simply help people enjoy life to its fullest.

Whether through her work or her teaching, she is passionate about helping her community members through competent and evidence-based medication management of mental illness.  Kebai has taught mental health diagnostics and treatments to students in ISU’s physician assistant program for the past many years and continues to do enjoy doing so.

To this practice she brings a wealth of experience in diagnostics of disorders, including bipolar disorders, major depression, schizophrenia and the spectrum of anxiety disorders, as well as substance abuse and dependency.  Her practice philosophy includes using interdisciplinary approaches to disease treatment and symptom management.

 

 

Kristy Christensen, LCPC

Kristy obtained two   graduate degrees from  Idaho State University. The first, Master of   Science, Psychology was  prompted by her devotion to understand “why”   people do what they do.  The second, Master of Counseling, Mental Health,   was inspired by her  desire to know “how” to help people realize the   outcomes they want to  achieve. This educational background has assisted   her in being able to  provide clients with effective and efficient   assistance in reaching  their goals and helping them to live a more   fulfilling life.

Work  Experience includes: counseling for adolescents, adults and couples dealing with depression, adjustment, anxiety, anger, violence, communication, addiction, and relationship issues.

 

 

 


Karl Letko, PA-C

Karl Letko PA-C is a Pocatello Native, graduating from Idaho State University's Maters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. He has two Bachelor’s degrees from ISU in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Microbiology with Medical Technology emphasis. He joined Life Change Associates in 2015. has previously worked on the adult and geriatric psychiatry inpatient services at Portneuf Medical Center.

He has a true interest and passion in helping patients and their families to understand and overcome temporary and long term challenges associated with advanced age.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stephanie Clark, PMHNP

Stephanie Clark is a Board Certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and has been working in the mental health field for more than 10 years. She has worked in a variety of settings, both inpatient and outpatient. She obtained her bachelors degree in nursing from Idaho State University in 2006 and her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah in 2011. Stephanie is passionate about helping others to reclaim joy and meaning in their lives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Angela Kelly, LCSW

Angela attended Idaho State University and completed an undergraduate degree in social work in 2009.  Angela then continued on to obtain a master’s in social work from Northwest Nazarene University in 2011.  Angela is also a Qualified Substance abuse Disorder’s Professional and has spent the last few years providing assistance to drug courts and counseling services in Soda Springs and Montpelier. Angela’s education and work experience has helped her to provider effective and efficient assistance to individuals with mental health disorders or struggle with substance abuse.
