Office Personnel & Duties

Dr. Ravsten, Kebai Bills, PA, Karl Letko, PA and Stephanie Clark, NP perform psychiatric assessments and provide medication management services. Dr. Ater, Kristy Christensen, and Jerilyn Pence provide psychotherapy and counseling services.  Jodi Henley and Shawn Lowry provide Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS).

Administrative Staff

Jacquelyn serves as the executive administrator to help oversee all aspects of administrative and non-clinical services.  Her duties include providing assistance with questions about billing, insurance or anything that will help improve your interaction with support staff at Life Change Associates.  Stacy and Sophie are care coordinators and can assist you with any question related to registration, scheduling, check-in and check-out, refills, processing of prior authorizations, release/receipt of records and more!  Together, Jacquelyn, Stacy and Sophie are eager to take your call and to help as a go-between you and your provider(s) during the day when our providers are busy seeing other patients.  You can submit questions to the administrative support staff through the secure email address:

Staff & Services

Dr. Ravsten

Dr. Ravsten is a native of Southeast Idaho, graduated from Idaho State University, graduated from medical school from UOMHS in Des Moines, Iowa and completed his Psychiatry residency at the University of Utah. He is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with a broad range of practice experience including work in outpatient and inpatient mental health settings. His passion professionally stems from the challenge of helping patients to feel better and to do more in their lives.

Special interests include: telepsychiatry, geropsychiatry, ADHD, Schizophrenia and mental health disorders complicated by co-occuring substance use or personality disorders, and psychotherapy interventions for mood and anxiety disorders,.

 

 

 

Steve Ater

Dr. Ater is a clinical psychologist who was previously practicing at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.  He has completed specialty training in clinical neuropsychology and is excited to be able to provide help for those who have suffered Traumatic Brain Injury or other neurological illnesses.  He received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Illinois and did his undergraduate training at the Ohio State University in Columbus.  He also completed specialty training in Child and Family Psychology and is well-versed in general psychological interventions including mood disorders such as depression, anxiety and Bipolar Disorder, as well as with other issues such as marital and relationship difficulties, work or school problems and parenting.  

In addition, Dr. Ater is also actively developing innovative approaches to performance coaching and organizational development.   His goal is to help leaders and organizations function at the highest level possible.

 

 

Kebai Bills

Board Certified Physician Assistant, Kebai Bills, has joined Life Change Associates, PLLC with the goal of serving the psychiatric field by following her profession passion: to erase the stigma associated with mental illness and simply help people enjoy life to its fullest.

Whether through her work or her teaching, she is passionate about helping her community members through competent and evidence-based medication management of mental illness.  Kebai has taught mental health diagnostics and treatments to students in ISU’s physician assistant program for the past many years and continues to do enjoy doing so.

To this practice she brings a wealth of experience in diagnostics of disorders, including bipolar disorders, major depression, schizophrenia and the spectrum of anxiety disorders, as well as substance abuse and dependency.  Her practice philosophy includes using interdisciplinary approaches to disease treatment and symptom management.

 

 

Kristy Christensen

Kristy obtained two   graduate degrees from  Idaho State University. The first, Master of   Science, Psychology was  prompted by her devotion to understand “why”   people do what they do.  The second, Master of Counseling, Mental Health,   was inspired by her  desire to know “how” to help people realize the   outcomes they want to  achieve. This educational background has assisted   her in being able to  provide clients with effective and efficient   assistance in reaching  their goals and helping them to live a more   fulfilling life. Work  Experience includes: Counseling for adolescents,   adults and couples  dealing with issues surrounding depression,   adjustment, anxiety,  anger, violence, communication, addiction,   relationship issues, as  well as evaluations and education for adults   charged with domestic  violence offences.

 


Karl Letko

Karl Letko PA-C is a Pocatello Native, graduating from Idaho State University's Maters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. He has two Bachelor’s degrees from ISU in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Microbiology with Medical Technology emphasis. He joined Life Change Associates in 2015. has previously worked on the adult and geriatric psychiatry inpatient services at Portneuf Medical Center.

He has true interest and passion to help people and their families evaluate, diagnose, treat and overcome temporary and long term challenges associated geriatric psychiatric.   In his spare time Karl is an avid outdoorsmen, enjoying a multitude of outdoor activities that western living can provide such as running, camping, Dutch oven cooking, hiking, and gardening.

 

Jerilyn Pence

Jerilyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT in 2010. She provides psychotherapy to adolescents and adults in individual and family settings. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing for the treatment of mental health and co-occuring substance abuse issues. Clients are assisted by gaining an awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and finding skillful ways to coping with life stressors and their environment to improve their quality of life.

 

 

 

 

Stephanie Clark

Stephanie Clark is a Board Certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and has been working in the mental health field for more than 10 years. She has worked in a variety of settings, both inpatient and outpatient. She obtained her bachelors degree in nursing from Idaho State University in 2006 and her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah in 2011. Stephanie is passionate about helping others to reclaim joy and meaning in their lives.
She has lived in Pocatello for the past 17 years and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and being outside in all the beauty that Pocatello has to offer.

 

 

 

Jodi Henley

Jodi received her Bachelor's degree in 2003 and started providing rehabilitation services with children in July 2003.  Since that time, Jodi has become certified as a Grief Recovery Specialist and CBRS Service Specialist.  In January 2014, she joined Life Change Associates, providing CBRS services to adults and children.  
Jodi's hobbies include creating gift baskets, crocheting, and riding with her husband on their motorcycle.

 

 

 

 

 

Shawn Lowry

Shawn graduated from Idaho State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. While at Idaho State University, Shawn studied sociology, community organization, and he was involved in the leadership of several student organizations. In the future, he would like to earn his master’s degree in counseling or Social Work. Shawn has worked in adult mental health since 2007. Shawn joined Life Change Associates in October 2014 and works as a community based rehabilitation specialist. Shawn enjoys traveling, hiking, mountain biking, reading, volunteering at Salt Lake Comic Con and other organizations, making people laugh, and walking his cat.
